How many of y’all have had the problem of your chandelier not being center of your dining room? Drives me crazy (which, I say, is a very short trip!) Well, I wanted my light fixture centered and that left us with a visible hole in the ceiling. I couldn’t find a medallion that I liked that would reach out far enough to cover the old hole (cue husband rolling eyes.) We (mainly me recruiting said husband,) decided to make our own. We purchased a plank of wood and routed the edges.
I used a steel wool/vinegar concoction to stain the wood and dry brushed some barn wood gray over it. I, then, attached some embossed faux leather and nail head trim to it. It fits perfectly in my rustic decor.
