I am refinishing my kitchen and bathroom cabinet pulls. (Did I mention I was cheap?) This project made me feel like such a smarty pants because I saved soooo much money!
Pull on left is the “before.” As you can see they really needed refinished. The one in the middle is painted with the black and dry brushed with brushed bronze and no top coat, yet. The right one is just like the middle, except I added a satin topcoat.
Love, love, love this new color! The paint is Country Chic liquorice and the accent color that I used for the dry-brush technique is by Folk Art brushed metal collection.
You can see the “ridges” the chalk paint make and how dry brushing the bronze “catches” them. (My technical terminology. Lol!)
Here are a few that have been sealed with a satin topcoat and are ready for installation!
This project only cost me about $5 total to repaint and seal all 55 handles! Now that’s what I call thrifty!
