If you have followed me for a while or read any of the blog posts, you know that I like to save money on my home decor. Thrift store shopping is a vital part to making that happen. But how overwhelming is it when you fling open those doors and see all the things? I tend to get that glazed-over look and forget what it was that I needed. I would buy stuff I didn’t need and forget the stuff that was essential to complete my projects. Has this ever happened to you?
I usually am looking for pieces for multiple projects at multiple stores, so staying organized was becoming a priority for me. My daughter and I sat down and created this Thrift Shop Finds worksheet. Because I love you guys, I am making this worksheet available for download! (link at the bottom to download yours for FREE!)
As you can see on this worksheet, I am able to list my projects and then the items I am looking for to complete them. Once I have found the items, I just put a check mark next to it. This is also a good place to add sizes and measurements. The “extra notes” area is a great place to list any items that you need, but not sure if a thrift store will have, and any extra great “finds” that you came across. This keeps me on budget and on-task and also a record of my inventory. How great is that?
Here are some pictures from our latest thrift store shopping spree:
Prerequisite for a great shopping day…COFFEE! We made a quick stop at our favorite coffee hut here in Casper.
Here we are loading up our cart! We found some great stuff this day. Stay tuned for future Facebook Lives and blog posts using our new loot.
We couldn’t end the shopping trip without an appearance in Hobby Lobby and a selfie!
It’s awesome to see all the the things we found and stay on budget! (note: a few things pictured were from dollar tree and hobby lobby.)
Hope you find this worksheet as handy as I do! Please let me know if you use it and how you like it!
