Okay, guys! Previously, I shared with you some of my organizing ideas for my craft/office closet. (If you missed it you can check them out here.) In this post I am sharing the before and after videos of how I used those organizing tips. I will also show you how I up-cycled a couple of old drawers into paint and ribbon storage.
At the end of this post I will have the link for you to download that label printable that Shelby made for us! They make my baskets and bins look so nice!
I had a couple of extra antique dresser drawers in storage so I decided to transform them into paint and ribbon storage. I bought some round dowels for the ribbon storage and square dowels and a plank of wood for the paint storage.
These are the little roller clasps that I used to hold the dowels for the ribbon storage. I purchased them at Home Depot. (I have them linked here.)
I just cut the square dowels to fit inside the drawer like this for two shelves.
I used wood glue to secure them. I, then, used clamps and weight to hold them while they dried.
I added the planks on top of the square dowels for my shelves. I will be purchasing wider planks because these were a little too narrow. I did stain all the added wood before I mounted the drawer on the wall.
Here is what my ribbon storage looks like.
And here is what they look like installed on my wall. This has saved so much room on the shelves in my closet. And, I can see everything better! Win!!
