The calendar says that summer will be here soon. I’m starting to doubt that it will come to Wyoming this year! LOL! We’ve been very cold and snowy lately. I wanted to make something for my gardens when the temps finally do warm up. I fell in love with some blue glass gems and knew I wanted to make a gazing ball with them.
The materials that I used are:
Glass globe (I bought mine at Menards.)
Glass mosaics from Hobby Lobby
I used two different adhesives to glue the glass to the globe. I used Gutter and Flashing sealant for long term adhesion and hot glue to keep them in place while the sealant dried.
I started at the the top of the globe, gluing the mosaics all around in a random pattern. You can also glue them in a specific design. What ever you would like.
I purchased a gazing ball stand at Menards. It has a hole in the bottom of where the ball sits and lines up perfectly to the opening in the globe. I will be adding a light up inside there when I place it outside.
I can’t wait to see it lit up at night!

Thank you so much!
Happy Crafting!
