Hi friends!
Have I got one of the most easiest DIY’s ever for you! I was really wanting one of those “Fresh Baked Pies” signs that are printed on a glass pane with a frame. I knew I had an old 8×10 frame sitting in storage, so I decided to use that and see what I could come up with. I recruited my husband to make a sign for me using PowerPoint (he knows that program wayyyy better than I do. lol!) I will have it available for you to download at the bottom of this post. I am also including the link to my YouTube video where I made this from start to finish.
I started out by removing the glass from the frame. The frame I am using was a bit shiny so I used a fine grit sanding sponge. That way the paint will stick better to the wood. After wiping down the frame, I painted it with a couple coats of white chalk paint. Once dried, I distressed it a little bit.
I set the frame aside to dry while I worked on the lettering. I just centered the sign under my piece of glass and taped it down. I used a regular Sharpie marker to trace and color in the wording.
I then just added the piece of glass back into the frame and, voila!, super cute, super fast, super easy pie sign! Shall I say “easy as pie?” LOL!
