Hello Friends and welcome to my Christmas 2021 dining room decor tour!
My absolute favorite place to decorate in my house is my dining room! It’s the actual center of the house and the main gathering place for family and friends.
I don’t have a “theme” this year, but I feel like my decor style is rustic glam. I love the pine, berries, deer and wood elements mixed with sparkle!
I will start with my buffet decor:
This gold deer is the centerpiece of my room and is a new purchase this year. I saw it at Hobby Lobby and immediately knew I had to bring it home! I was going to tone down the gold a little bit, but once I saw it in my dining room, I knew it was perfect just the way it was. The “Merry Christmas” and wood disc were also from Hobby Lobby, but from previous years. I added some greenery surrounding the deer and also used a set of three puck lights to “uplight” the three main areas of decor.
To the left of the deer I added a couple trees and candlesticks. Keeping is very simple, yet festive.
On the right side, I added this really fancy gold ornament on a gold pillar candle holder. Surrounded it with a couple of mini trees and then added fairy lights throughout.
For the table, I added mini wreaths to the backs of the chairs with some gold ribbon. I also added some greenery to the light fixture (which you can see better in the mirror.)
The centerpiece of the table consists of different candle sticks, greenery, pine cones, and mercury glass ornaments. I also added a few gold branches throughout. And I cant’ forget my fairy lights! I used battery ones on the table and the plug in kind on my buffet.
For my place settings, I used the wood slabs from Hobby Lobby as chargers. (Pro Tip: I used matte mod podge to seal in the bark edge. Without that sealant, the bark will crumble off.) I also did a light stain on them to give them a finished look. I just added a simple white plate and then placed my napkins on top. I used the new green plaid napkins from Target this year (Hearth and Hand.) I also am using the copper napkin rings from the same collection. I already had a few napkins from a previous year that I wanted to use, but only had a couple (you will see them in the next picture.) That is why I mixed the napkins. I also really like having a few mismatched things. I feel like it makes the table seem more inviting.
And last, but not least, my table runner. I purchased this from Target this year, too. (Also Hearth and Hand.) I really liked their Christmas collection this year!
Thank you all so much for checking out my dining room Christmas decor!
